Discounts and Offers
Overview
Discounts & Offers are promotional pricing rules set up once, applying automatically wherever eligible — at checkout and/or online booking. In the app these are labelled Promotions.
Where to find it
Marketing → Pricing & Offers → Discounts, which opens the Services screen to its Flash Sales tab (the same screen also hosts Services, Packages, and Promotion Codes). This feature goes by "Discounts," "Promotions," and "Flash Sales" interchangeably depending on where it's viewed — it's all the same feature.
Creating a promotion
On the Flash Sales tab, tap New Offer.
Give it a name and choose the type (fixed at creation — types can't be switched later):
- Flash Sale — pick the specific services it applies to and set a discount percentage. - Buy X Get Y — pick the services that qualify as the "buy" side and a required quantity, and the services given as the "get" side and a free quantity (e.g. buy 2 manicures, get 1 free).
Optionally set a valid from / valid to date range to schedule it in advance or auto-expire it.
Save.
Managing promotions
Toggle a promotion Active/Inactive at any time from its Actions menu without deleting it, or edit/delete it from its card.
Statuses
Scheduled — active flag is on, but the "valid from" date hasn't arrived yet.
Active — currently in effect (and within its date range, if one is set).
Expired — the "valid to" date has passed.
Deactivated — manually turned off.
Business rules
Flash Sale discounts apply automatically the moment a qualifying service is added to a booking — no staff action needed. Buy X Get Y never applies automatically — a staff member has to manually select it from a menu on the relevant service line during checkout or booking.
Avoid creating two active Flash Sales that overlap on the same service and date range — worth checking existing promotions before adding a new one on the same services.
A promotion is separate from a manual cart discount or coupon code applied by staff at checkout — those stack independently.
Discounts and offers, coupon codes, and the referral program all live under this same "Promotions" umbrella in reporting, tracked together as "Sales Discounts" against gross revenue.
