Your WAJ Subscription and Billing
Overview
Everything else in Sales, Checkout & Inventory is about the sales a business makes to its own customers. The WAJ subscription is different: it's what the business pays WAJ to use the app — completely separate from anything a client pays, and unrelated to Memberships or Gift Cards.
Where to find it
Settings → Account → Manage Subscription (web only).
Choosing a plan
Three tiers are available, each Monthly or Yearly, with Yearly working out noticeably cheaper (currently marketed as roughly a third off the equivalent monthly cost):
Essentials — booking, appointments, clients, and basic reports.
Plus — everything in Essentials, plus staff management, inventory, advanced reports, and marketing.
Infinite — everything in Plus, plus multi-branch support, unlimited staff, priority support, and custom integrations.
New businesses get a 14-day free trial with full access before being asked to subscribe. On the web, no credit card is required to start the trial. Yearly plans are currently web-only — on iOS only Monthly is offered.
Managing billing
On the web, subscribing and managing the plan (changing plans, updating the card, viewing invoices) happens through a secure, Stripe-hosted checkout and billing portal.
On iOS, the subscription is billed and managed through the business's Apple ID — only Monthly plans are offered, and cancellations must be done in Apple's subscription settings (at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid another charge).
On Android, subscribing and managing billing happens outside the app, at waj.app — the app directs you there rather than accepting payment in-app.
What happens at the end of a trial or a lapsed subscription
When the trial ends or a subscription lapses or is cancelled, a full-screen paywall blocks premium features until the business subscribes or reactivates — data isn't lost, just inaccessible until billing is resolved. Owners see a reactivate button on this screen; staff only see a Log Out option. If a subscription is set to cancel at period end, the app shows it "will not renew" and allows reactivating any time before it actually lapses.
Notes & limitations
Invoices for the WAJ subscription itself are listed on the Manage Subscription screen for record-keeping.
